The Smart Keyboard is a physical keyboard that docks with iPad Pro using the Smart Connector. It was first announced on 9 September 2015 alongside iPad Pro, and released in conjunction with it on 11 November 2015. A second-generation folio-style keyboard was released for the 11-inch and 3rd generation 12.9-inch.
Variants
There are three Smart Keyboard models, each with specific compatibility with iPad Pro:
- Compatible with iPad Pro (12.9-inch) and iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (2nd generation)
- Compatible with iPad Pro (9.7-inch)
- Compatible with iPad Pro (10.5-inch) and iPad Air (3rd generation)
