I noticed you are having problems with your formatting and am here to help! [[User:Balloonhead66|Cole Johnson]] is here to help!

===/dev===

You need to work on your formatting... <code><nowiki>*[[/dev/blah_blah]] ( blah bah )</nowiki></code> is not acceptable... Use <code><nowiki>*[[/dev/blah_blah|blah_blah]]</nowiki></code> ... --[[User:Balloonhead66|Balloonhead66]] 19:32, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

:When I made that page i was in a hurry and can we sort the invisible text ( some of it Should be notes ) --[[User:Liamchat|liamchat]] 22:30, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

::The question is not appropriate here. Please ask it on the Talk page for /dev: [[Talk:/dev]] --[[User:Balloonhead66|Balloonhead66]] 18:45, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

:;This may not be the place, but if you work on your formatting skills, I could make you an admin on my wiki: [http://cole.freehostingcloud.com/wiki/Main_Page Wiki]

===Wikipedia Links===

Did you know theres this great feature called the wikipedia namespace? It is used by <code><nowiki>[[wikipedia:Apple Inc.|Apple Inc.]]</nowiki></code> ... That link would take you to Apple Inc. on wikipedia... Like this: [[wikipedia:Apple Inc.|Apple Inc.]] --[[User:Balloonhead66|Balloonhead66]] 19:32, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

===External Links with bar===

Do not use <code><nowiki>[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Inc.| Apple Inc.]</nowiki></code> ... That does not work... and will produce Apple Inc., but will link to <code><nowiki>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Inc.|</nowiki></code> ... Pllease, please, I say it one more time, PLEASE use the wikipedia namespace! --[[User:Balloonhead66|Balloonhead66]] 19:32, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

===Changing Display Title===

OK, so seeing what is above, use <code><nowiki>{{DISPLAYTITLE:/dev/blah_blah}}</nowiki></code> if there were a file called blah_blah is the /dev folder. Normally, <code><nowiki>[[/dev/blah_blah|blah_blah]]</nowiki></code> would display as <code>/dev/blah blah</code> in the title, but we want <code>/dev/blah_blah</code> . So we use the DISPLAYTITLE key. It will only allow changing spaces to underscores, lowercase to uppercase, and uppercase to lowercase. Hope this helped! --[[User:Balloonhead66|Balloonhead66]] 19:37, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

===Headings===

====Spaces in title====

Do not put spaces in headings like <code><nowiki>== About Me ==</nowiki></code> . Instead use <code><nowiki>==About Me==</nowiki></code> ... --[[User:Balloonhead66|Balloonhead66]] 19:42, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

:Ok when I click the button on the toolbar it creates a == Headline text == not the =Headline text== that you think is correct --[[User:Liamchat|liamchat]] 23:12, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

::Please just type it yourself then, it saves db space... --[[User:Balloonhead66|Balloonhead66]] 23:14, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

:::the real way to save space is to delete the images in [[Special:Unusedimages]] and we only need to wurry about database size if we are updating the [[Special:Version]] of the wiki --[[User:Liamchat|liamchat]] 23:21, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

::::Deleting the images or removing the spaces doesn't save any database space, because the full history is stored (even for deleted pages or images). But I agree that unnecessary and/or unused stuff should get removed to have the latest version contain the correct data. For the spaces I think we can allow both, but better not mix it. --[[User:Http|http]] 17:09, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

:::::The entire page modification is not saved, only the change, hence to bold red when comparing 2 revisions...

====Sizes====

Use <code><nowiki>==blah blah==</nowiki></code> for standard headings, <code><nowiki>===blah blah===</nowiki></code> for sub headings, <code><nowiki>====blah blah====</nowiki></code> for sub-sub headings, and so on... The max is 7 sizes (or equal symbols on both sides of the title). <code><nowiki>=blah blah=</nowiki></code> can be used like &lt;h1&gt; but equals are wiki format and that is what we like here... --[[User:Balloonhead66|Balloonhead66]] 19:42, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

===Indenting on Talk Pages===
