The Smart Keyboard is a physical keyboard that docks with iPad Pro using the Smart Connector. It was first announced on September 9, 2015 alongside iPad Pro, and released in conjunction with it on November 11, 2015. A second-generation folio-style keyboard was released for the 11-inch and 3rd generation 12.9-inch.
Variants
There are three Smart Keyboard models, each with specific compatibility with iPad Pro:
- Compatible with iPad Pro (12.9-inch) and iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (2nd generation)
- Compatible with iPad Pro (9.7-inch)
- Compatible with iPad Pro (10.5-inch) and iPad Air (3rd generation)
