4.2.9 and 4.3.4 on the compatibility table
Do we really a need to have iOS 4.2.9 and 4.3.4 on the table? Everything that's not mentioned on the table can be presumed as incompatible (e.g.- iOS 3.1.3, iOS 4.0.1, iOS 4.1…). --Dialexio 14:55, 17 July 2011 (MDT)
- I agree, unless we want to add 4.2.5 and 4.2.1 to show that those are the only ones. --5urd 15:07, 17 July 2011 (MDT)
- I also thought so, but then I thought we leave this edit, for two reasons: a) 4.2.9 and 4.3.4 is the first release intentionally breaking Saffron and b) 4.2.9 is just inbetween in release numbers. But if you still want to remove it, go ahead. --http 18:13, 17 July 2011 (MDT)
iPad 2 and iOS 4.3
Can anybody confirm that Saffron really works with iOS 4.3 on iPad 2? All documentation and iPhone Dev Team blog and jailbreakqa etc. say that Saffron only works on iOS 4.3.3 on the iPad 2. Either it's wrong here (throughout the wiki) or everywhere else. --http 00:29, 16 August 2011 (MDT)
- I know it was said that it was going to work somewhere down the line, but I am not sure they ever got to it. The only way to know for sure is to take a device that is on 4.3 and try it. --Jacob 12:43, 24 August 2011 (MDT)
- According to /saffron/_/, the iPad 2, is supported (iPad_4.3_8F191.pdf - the iPad 1G was 8F190) But then there is NO
saffron-jailbreak-iPad2,*-8F191(-*).deb
--5urd 15:27, 24 August 2011 (MDT) - I'm pretty sure it's wrong on the table, so I'll change that. There are many unused PDFs in that directory, but they are never utilized by the website and may (not) work as intended. --Dialexio 17:54, 24 August 2011 (MDT)
4.2.8 and then 4.3?
Should we do 4.2.8, 4.2.9, 4.2.10, AND THEN 4.3 to keep it in line? --5urd 15:32, 24 August 2011 (MDT)
- I don't think so. As I said a month ago, all firmwares not mentioned on the table can be presumed incompatible. --Dialexio 17:54, 24 August 2011 (MDT)
