Naming conventions for first generation iPhone
Should the 1st gen iPhone really be named iPhone 2G? Edge technology is normally referred to as 2.5G anyway. And after all, technically the 3G enabled iPhone is the chronological "iPhone 2G" isn't it. Was just thinking it might cause some confusion in the future. I think G1 iPhone and G2 iPhone for the 3G enabled device (or iPhone gen1 and iPhone gen2, respectively) would be a good way to refer to them. Rekoil 12:06, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
