:IMHO, nobody cares about wallpapers. They are constantly changed, updated, renamed, and keeping things up to date seems just a bunch of useless job to me. On the contrary, I'd suggest that we remove the (outdated) list of files entirely, and that we only leave the description of the content of the folders. Again, this is my personal opinion so let's wait for someone else's opinion. Oh, and I wouldn't even think about creating a new page for each wallpaper, sorry --[[User:J. J.|J. J.]] ([[User talk:J. Adding remaining wallpapers

This page hasn't been updated in years. Wallpapers aren't particularly significant, but they aren't always trivial either.

Much like the Firmware page, the wallpapers should be split up by specific device and iOS version.

Each wallpaper might have its own page, with a thumbnail (not a full image). However, it gets complicated from there -- many wallpapers are slightly modified, updated for Retina screens, or renamed to different file names.

So, to ensure conformity, should the original filename be used for each wallpaper's page name? For example, the iOS 4 blue wave wallpaper, which might be named 100_iPad.png, may also be redirected from Classic.100_iPad.png which may be its name in iOS 7. However, that introduces a new problem -- what if a file has the same name, but is different? I suppose it could be possible to add both images to the same page, but it might be awkward. Then again, this whole proposal is awkward... it doesn't really add any technical value, but it can provide info on when it was added, removed, and if it appeared on a specific device.

I agree... perhaps adding wallpapers wasn't the best idea. But I still believe there are other interesting files to document in (Talk:/Applications) and (Talk:/System). --Citrusui (talk) 18:40, 19 February 2017 (UTC)
