FakeTunes, formerly SkankTunes, is an internal application for macOS which contains many different features. These features include the ability to back up devices using a built in utility called 'FakeBack' (formerly called SkankBack), as well as the ability to sync, transfer, and or replace contacts, calendar events, bookmarks, notes, and even mail accounts. There are also options to view, save, and copy crash logs, migrate data from one device to another, and restore the device. The restore functionality works in the same way that it does in iTunes, its external counterpart, and is not to be used to install internal firmware files. Surprisingly, FakeTunes doesn't require an AppleConnect account or any connection to Apple's internal VPN in order to use.
