Nikias Bassen (pimskeks) is member of evad3rs, the team who developed the evasi0n jailbreak. Due to his background, he is probably the author of the backup/restore part of evasi0n and can probably also be credited to the discovery of the Malformed PairRequest vulnerability. He is also the creator of libimobiledevice, a MobileDevice library interface so applications can run without requiring iTunes installed. This is useful for GPL programs that wish to communicate with an iDevice.
