What is iREB?
iREB is a GUI application that uses __________. It uploads 3 pwned files, so that iTunes can accept custom IPSW firmware/downgrade to lower firmwares. For S5L8900 devices, it uploads the following:
- iBSS.MODEL.RELEASE.dfu
- WTF.MODEL.RELEASE.dfu
- WTF.s5l8900xall.RELEASE.dfu
iREB does NOT jailbreak, it just disables iTunes's ability to upload a patch to the ramdisk to block custom firmware made by sn0wbreeze.
