I have an iPod Touch 1G and since a few months an iPhone 3GS (new boot). I'm working as a software developer. My first machine code experience was on a Commodore 64 (6510 processor) in the 80s I think. Later 68000 (AMIGA), Intel 80186, SATURN (on the HP48SX calculator, reverse engineering the whole operating system, that was 1992).
In the last ten years I'm not programming assembler anymore (only C/C++, JavaScript, .NET, etc.), but I know the basics of the new technology as well (memory protection by the processor etc.)
I'm supporting some users on the GSM Forum pages regarding jailbreaking etc. That helps me to know what is going on.
I have an iPod Touch 1G and an iPhone 3GS (new boot). My stepdaugher has an iPod Touch 3G. Since 23 June 2010 I have a Mac Mini for iPhone development.
