iPod touch 4(G) and iPhone 4 CDMA
the iPod touch 4G is incorrect. It is iPod touch 4. Also, can we add [[n92ap|iPhone 4]] (CDMA). --Balloonhead66 04:10, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
- I agree with adding the iPhone 4 (CDMA model), but I don't see how "iPod touch 4G" is incorrect. It is the fourth generation iPod touch, and Apple has never referred to it as "iPod touch 4." The 2nd generation was called "iPod touch 2G," and the 3rd generation was called "iPod touch 3G." --Dialexio 04:18, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
- My brother said they dropped the G as to aviod people thinking it worked with the 4G network, but he might have only meant the iPhone... --Balloonhead66 04:19, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
- Possibly. I should note that to my knowledge, Apple never actually used the "iPod touch 2G" and "iPod touch 3G" monikers, but the iPod community has used such names for a long time. --Dialexio 04:24, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
- Yah... --Balloonhead66 04:27, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
- Please add the iPhone 4 CDMA :) --Ryccardo 20:34, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

Previous Jailbreak Tools
I lately have been dealing with older firmwares and I couldn't find anywhere with the programs I needed. We should dedicate a page to archiving previous releases of tools (e.g tools for 3.X). Anyone care to set it up? --JakeAnthraX 09:45, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
- Well, for 3.x firmware we still have the page Jailbreak (S5L8920+). Also on the respective tool page it should be listed what firmware is supported. For a list of all tools, see Category:Hacking Software. But yes, maybe we should have a general jailbreaking tool overview page, like the one in my first mentioned link, but for all devices (including iPhone 2G) and all firmware (including pre-3.x)? Feel free to create such a page if you think we need it. -- http 12:38, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
- I was meaning more of a place to have link to all versions of programs since none of the developers add backwards compatibility. (e.g sn0wbreeze no longer works for 3.X, greenpois0n no longer works for 4.1)
