Hardware unlock
This was the earliest unlock which did not rely on SIM hacks, it is variation of the Fakeblank exploit. It involved opening up the iPhone and doing a testpoint on A17 gate. Geohot was the first person to perform this hack with the help of gray and iPhone Dev Team members.
