T7000
The T7000 is the Apple A8 processor currently used in the Apple TV (4th generation), HomePod, iPad mini 4, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iPod touch (6th generation). Designed by Apple, it contains two 64-bit Typhoon ARMv8-A CPU cores running at 1.38 GHz (1.1 GHz for iPod touch (6th generation)).
Hardware
The A8 part number is APL1011
. It is manufactured using the TSMC 20 nm HKMG process and has a die size of 89 mm2. It contains a 4-core IMG PowerVR GX6450 GPU.
