Dock Connector
Dock connector is a term commonly given to the port on the bottom of an iOS device where the dock cable attached. There are currently two variants of the iOS dock connector:
- 30-pin Connector - the old and wide connector first used in the original iPod classic
- Lightning Connector - the new, small, and reversible connector first used in the iPhone 5, iPad (4th generation), iPad mini, and iPod touch (5th generation)
