Talk:DurangoVail 8F5148c (AppleTV2,1)
8F5148b and 8F5148c
Did Apple seed 8F5148b AND 8f5148c for the Apple TV? That would explain the other page... --5urd 23:33, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
- It's to my understanding that build 8F5148b was designated for typical iDevices, while the Apple TV 2G got build 8F5148c. --Dialexio 00:46, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
- That doesn't explain the other page though --5urd 04:23, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
- Key pages often have the wrong build number when Apple is not consistent with it. For instance, the build number for iOS 4.3.3 on most devices is 8J2. but the original iPad received build 8J3. A key page was made for "Durango 8J2 (iPad)," although it was meant for build 8J3 (since build 8J2 was never publicly released for the iPad). --Dialexio 15:26, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, but on thouse, you just moved 8J2 to 8J3, but here they had different keys... --5urd 19:28, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

- Thought I would chime in here since I made all of these pages, these were firmwares seeded to official developers for iOS apps (nothing special about that account, just typical iOS app store account) their build numbers and everything are straight from the dmgs and ipsws themselves. --Nito 21:32, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
- OK, I get that, but after looking at my SVN history, 8F5148c has the key

while 8F5148b HAD the key (before I removed it)cc3e4b2e78940fb3cffce2f3d4a9a5e6a8a45bce77afa71c6445991203d01fa0bb5c6ab0
--5urd 21:53, 22 May 2011 (UTC)- Whatever keys are here are the ones that worked for me, i wouldn't have put them on here if i didnt test them. Honestly, who REALLY cares, these firmwares were betas that are of no interest to anyone ever again... so its all kind of moot. --Nito 22:21, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
